On June 8, New Generation of African American Philanthropists marked its 12th anniversary. The milestone was celebrated earlier on May 31 at the circle’s dinner forum, Food For { Black } Thought.
Our collective vision is a healthy, safe and prosperous community for Black families to live, work and flourish. As a giving circle, our mission is “to promote philanthropy—the giving of time, talent and treasure—among African Americans in the Charlotte region, with the goal of enhancing the quality of life within our communities.”
Our giving and collective work has comprised making grants, changing the narrative about philanthropy and Black giving, celebrating Black culture and traditions, convening and engaging other concerned community members, and asserting philanthropic leadership.
Below is a compilation of photos from past anniversaries and milestones from a dozen years together. ♥♥♥
